Title: City Council Chairman Pro Tem


Tim Woolley was elected to his second four-year term in November 2017. As the second-highest vote-getter, he serves as City Council Chairman Pro Tem. He was elected as a Councilman in November 2013.

Woolley is a lifelong resident of the City of Taylor and graduated from the old Taylor Center High School in 1988.

Chairman Pro Tem Woolley served his country during the Desert Shield and Desert Storm military campaigns in the Middle East. He served in the Army from 1989-92 as a forward observer for field artillery for the 2nd Armored Division, nicknamed “Hell on Wheels” and originally formed in 1940 under Gen. Charles Scott and made famous under Gen. George Patton in World War II. He earned several different medals and citations during his time in the military

Married to wife Amy, the couple has two children, Dylan and Sarah.

  • Coached baseball in the Northwest Little League (and won a state championship in 2007),
  • Waring Elementary basketball coach
